Why Choose

BMH Indoor

Mold / Allergen Inspection

Brien M Hawkes, Certified Residential Mold Inspector, understands the necessity of knowledgeable and unbiased mold and allergen inspections. When the health of your family is a concern along with the integrity of your property, you need the best advice and information possible - without a sales pitch or gimmick.

Allergic reactions may be the most common health problem with indoor air quality in homes. They are often connected with animal dander (mostly from cats and dogs), with house dust mites (microscopic animals living in household dust), mold, and cockroach allergens. Allergic reactions can range from mildly uncomfortable to life-threatening, as in a severe asthma attack.

Mold and Indoor Allergen Inspection requires a scientific approach.

The first step of the process is a thorough and complete visual inspection of the property.

I will inspect for moisture intrusion and signs of hidden mold. I use a moisture meter (protimeter) and borescope (fiber optic device) to help find tell tale signs of mold. Based on my inspection findings I may recommend sampling to confirm the existence of mold.

Proper testing for mold and allergens is never a matter of guesswork. BMH Indoor Allergen Inspection uses the latest testing methodologies to collect samples from the testing site.

I will travel to your residential or commercial property and perform the inspection and collection process. The inspection and testing shall be performed in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the -

IESO Indoor Environmental Standards Organization

Determining whether your home harbors unhealthy levels of indoor air pollutants used to be expensive, especially since specific tests for each potential irritant would cost many hundreds of dollars.

My testing is designed to provide an environmental snapshot of the tested area for a much lower cost.
